…Alpaca crochet heart with a little jingly bell for you…
Here we are, it’s November and I’m back to writing after a longer break then intended. These lovely softer then soft, easy crochet hearts with a fun jingly bell brought me back to my blog. I thought I have to share them with you before Christmas is over and maybe you can make them too. They are very easy but so fun and looking sweet and lovely hanging on door handles, little hooks, branches or anywhere you could think of, before the Christmas tree makes appearance in December.
I have made these easy hearts with gorgeous alpaca wool, soft as freshly fallen snow and inviting you to touch them and also ring the little festive bell.
…hearts, jingle bells, snowflakes and Christmas baubles, slowly taking over our little cottage….
A week ago I had my first ever craft stall in our little village hall, as I’ve decided to go ahead only two weeks before 😮 there was a lot of crochet going on in our house and not much cleaning or cooking from my side 🙂 I have to say that I’ve enjoyed it and I’m a bit cross with myself of not being brave enough and thinking of doing more Christmas stalls, so lesson learned now for the future.
One of my crochet Christmas decorations for the stalls were these easy alpaca hearts I’ve made and people loved them. It’s been really lovely to have a feedback from strangers, not just family and friends.
I’ve also made crochet baubles for the first time, so much fun to make and they look really beautiful hanging on the branches or just piled up in a basket.
Crochet snowflakes are a must, so many patterns, so many variations, you could easily go quite crochet mad at Christmas, so I’m giving a lot of them as little presents or as a part of wrapping.
If you would like to make my easy crochet hearts with a jingly bells, here is how :
I’ve used beautiful Alpaca wool and hook no.6
Chain 5 and slip stitch to the first chain to create a circle, chain 3, now make in to the circle; 3 trebles, 1 half treble, 3 doubles and 1 treble. Now repeat in reverse order – 3 doubles, 1 half treble, 3 trebles, chain 3 and join them into the circle.
You can cut off the wool and leave it a bit longer, attach the jingle bell and secure it in the centre, weave in the end at the back.
The last thing is to shape it a bit and attach your choice of string or ribbon and the very last thing is to find a place to hang this gorgeous but very easy crochet heart decoration! I’m quite sure, when your family & friends see it, you’ll be making more of them, I know because I’m still making them 😉
Take care, Love Renata.
