Hi there, these little hearts are gorgeous and would be perfect little Christmas gifts for my work colleagues! Would you be able to give me more info on the wool you used please? Thickness colour and where you got it if you don’t mind? I’d imagine it’s quite chunky if you are using a 6mm hook!
    Thank you for the inspiration.

      Hi Sarah,

I’m sorry for a late reply, di you manage to make the hearts? This is a alpaca wool I’ve bought in Slovakia a while ago, it’s really soft and chunky. You could use any thick yarn you can find, from Red Heart or Lion brand and use hook one size bigger then they suggest n the label, so it’s more loose and easier to make. Hope it helps, have a lovely day.

What a cute pattern! Are the instructions in US or Uk? What would be a substitute wool if I can’t find alpaca wool?Thank you and have a Merry Christmas!

      Hi Joann,
thank you for your comment, pattern is written in uk form. You could use any chunky wool you have. It works best with nice thick yarn better. Hope you had a lovely holidays 🙂

  3. I wanted to like and try this pattern so much, but it is too vague for me and after multiple attempts, I gave up. I’m not sure what you mean when you say “make a circle” with the 3 chains…. and I understand 3 triples, 1 half triple and 3 doubles but in which stitch? the same one? the next one? around the original 5 chains I made? because I tried them all and once again got stuck on the next row when it say ” Now repeat in reverse order – 3 doubles, 1 half treble, 3 trebles, chain 3 and join them into the circle.” but reverse order would start with a triple because that is the last one we ended on in the first row and I didn’t know where to start the next row. I wish I was experienced enough to figure this out on my own, and it looks simple, but for me, the pattern is confusing. They look so cute, I’m sad I couldn’t figure it out

Hi Megan, thank you for your comment. I’ll try and explain again. Chain 5 and slip stitch to the first chain to create a circle, then chain 3 and now make all your stitches into your circle you’ve just made as follows ; 3 trebles, 1 half treble, 3 doubles and 1 treble. This is your first half of your heart, and you continue in reverse order, – 3 doubles, 1 half treble, 3 trebles, all in the circle, chain 3 and join them into the circle. That’s the heart done.
Please let me know if it helped.

Have a great day, Renata x
