I’ve been shopping for Christmas presents and found two great plants for myself, as you do, when you are looking for presents and always seem to find lovely things for yourself. I can’t be the only one it happens to, right 🙂
So I had my plants in the basket but didn’t like any pots I saw there and the idea to crochet quick and easy pot covers was born. I’m sure it has been done many time, but here is my way of making crochet pot covers.
First I’ve started with jute, making a simple double crochet base circle and then continued with my coloured wool into a back loops only and after one round continued straight up, until I’ve covered the top of my plastic flower pot and finished with one round of jute single crochet circle.
It’s a great little project to make and looks lovely with the plant inside. You can always find the perfect shade of wool in your stash to go with your interior, easier then looking for the right pots. Next I’ll be making a big one for the floor.
Have a lovely day and enjoy these fun festive days,
